BOOST 2025: A record 58 colleagues from the P&V Group committed to 13 organizations

For the 10th consecutive year, the 'BOOSTers' strengthen the organizations in the P&V Foundation network with the skills and enthusiasm of P&V Group employees.

BOOST, in brief

The BOOST engagement project is a journey of about 9 months during which teams of 3 to 5 colleagues from the P&V Group – called BOOSTers – collaborate with an organization to meet one of its needs. Throughout the journey, the BOOSTers and the organizations are supported to ensure the success of their collaboration.

In 2025, new organizations joined us

This year, 13 organizations can count on the help of the BOOSTers. There are organizations from all over the country: Brussels, Liège, Ghent, Antwerp...

Some are long-term partners, such as La Porte Verte – Snijboontje, AMO ZigZag, Ghent Basketball, TAJO, Het Beroepenhuis and City Pirates.

Others come from our Feeling You(th) project call focused on youth mental health. In addition to the financial support the laureates receive, we also propose to strengthen them with this skills-based volunteering program. The organizations joining the BOOST program for the first time are Play4Peace, Red Pencil, Interra, D’Une Cime à l’Autre, Broeinest, and HipPopRockstars

Finally, the BOOSTers will also help a startup nonprofit 'En Route', also focused on youth mental health.

Challenges to tackle in 2025

The BOOSTers take on a variety of challenges, each corresponding to specific skills. Among the challenges, they can help organize an organization's anniversary party, develop a communication strategy, analyze the insurance portfolio, or help create a website. They also work on optimizing office tools, strengthening human resources skills, financial and economic development, and developing a "code of conduct" for volunteer professionals. These are just a few examples.

Everyone benefits, there are as many challenges as there are skills to be exploited!

Win-Win according to the BOOSTers

"We often work in silos, broadening our horizons and getting to know other colleagues can only contribute to a better understanding of each other's work and thus foster better collaboration. And last but not least, contributing to a social project in a professional context is ultimately a must!" — Géraud Pietquin

"Not only can you help a lot of people through this, but you also feel a lot of gratitude. You also learn a lot about yourself. (...) It's the combination of different skills, brainstorming together, that leads to a better result." — Hilde Dewulf

Win-Win according to the organizations

Some testimonials from organizations from an impact study by the University of Ghent, in collaboration with Engage4, specialized in supporting organizations in this type of program:

"BOOST allows nonprofits, with few own funds, to build skills in specific areas. And to benefit from real expertise and complementary skills. Your help is so precious to us, thank you!"

"BOOST really helps us to better organize ourselves; to value our colleagues. It means a direct support in the work environment and the creation of a new dynamic."

Since 2015, the P&V Group and the P&V Foundation have been organizing the project "BOOST," which provides P&V Group colleagues the opportunity to offer their professional expertise to one of the many social (youth) organizations within the P&V Foundation network, contributing to their personal development as well. A real win-win!
